With over 40 years of diverse experience in forest industry, Larry is currently Director of Strategic Initiatives at Cosmo Specialty Fibers in Cosmopolis, Washington.
His current role includes responsibility for wood procurement, public relations, government affairs, and commercial savviness throughout Cosmo. Previously, Larry held leadership positions at Rayonier, International Paper, and Champion International. His roles included Director Fiber Resources, Region General Manager, Land Marketing and Sales, Business Development, Region Land Manager, Technical Services, and Strategic Planning. Larry has also served as Division Forester for Forest Resources Association and has worked on forest-related projects across the U.S., as well as internationally. Larry holds an MS in Forest Economics from Mississippi State University and a BS in Forestry from Louisiana Tech University.
Jim King is Vice President and General Manager, Forest Resources, with The Westervelt Company, a privately held land management company in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
Jim joined what was then Gulf States Paper Corporation in 1981 as an Area Forester, having previously served as a forester for F&W Forestry Services in Swainsboro, Georgia. During his time at Westervelt, he has held roles including Planning and Information Systems Manager, Strategic Planning and Business Development Manager and Forest Resources Director. He was promoted to his current position in 2003. In this role he is responsible for the management of more than half a million acres of forestland, which includes the Woodlands, Minerals, Forest Recreation and Real Estate businesses. Jim received his bachelor’s degree in forest management from Auburn University. He is an active member of the Auburn University School of Forestry and Wildlife Sciences Advisory Council, the Forest Landowners Association (FLA) Board and the Forest Resources Association (FRA) Board. He previously served on the Alabama Forest Association Board of Directors, the Auburn University Research Advisory Board and the National Alliance of Forest Owners (NAFO) Operating Committee.
Lee Steigerwaldt is the President and CEO of Steigerwaldt Land Services based in Wisconsin.
Lee currently oversees and implements strategic direction at Steigerwaldt. She is a third-generation consulting forester and business owner with a Bachelor of Science degree earned in 1999 from the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point in Forest Management, Urban Forestry, and Philosophy. She is a certified general appraiser in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Minnesota, and an ISA certified arborist. Her prior professional experience was as a Production Arborist in Hailey, Idaho, before relocating to Tomahawk to work in the family business.
